I’ve been attending the ‘rusty returners’ group tennis lessons for over a year now and absolutely love these sessions.
It’s a highlight of my week and certainly a great way of bringing some fun to a Monday! The group is great, there is no sense of shame or embarrassment when you hit a ball in a wayward direction, just a lot of fun and learning.
The coaching is really excellent, Adrian assesses each individual’s needs and development areas and although it’s a group session you feel like you are getting enough one on one attention.
My tennis has come on enormously in just a few months, not just from improvements in my strokes, but through an increased understanding of strategy, reading the game, and court placement.
Adrian has been my tennis coach since I was 5 years old. I always learn so much from him and whatever new skill he is teaching me, he makes learning enjoyable. I always look forward to my lessons with him each week and we always manage to find time to laugh! Whether it’s an individual or group lesson, tennis camp or club night, Adrian is completely committed to his pupils and ensures that their tennis is fun. I’ve never once in 6 years gone home and said I didn’t enjoy my tennis lesson with him.

Juniors
At Weybridge LTC we have a long standing record of producing players of a very high standard and we are proud of the strength we have in depth. Emerging players are often afforded the chance to test themselves in the senior club championship and may also find themselves invited to represent the club in one of our many adult teams.
We hold internal junior Club Championships for both girls and boys and we commonly enter between 8 and 10 junior teams in the LTA summer leagues.
On Friday evenings throughout the summer months opportunities exist for our 10 to 15 year olds to play in box leagues. There is a small charge of £3 made for this event which proves a popular one.
To meet the specific requirements of our players, all coaching groups are arranged according to age, playing standard and level of experience. A variety of sessions take place after school and on Saturday mornings.
Term-time Mini-Tennis programme for 4-10 year-olds
Our term-time mini tennis programme runs after school and also on Saturdays. To maximise player’s learning speed, children will always be assessed so we can be sure they are placed in a group containing players of a similar age and similar level of experience.
For our U/8, U/9 and U/10 players who are ready for competitive play we typically enter between 4 and 6 teams in the Surrey LTA leagues. We also enter the LTA Quorn Family cup giving them the chance to pair up with one of their parents and play against other like minded families.
Term-time Tennis Programme for 11 – 13 year-olds and 14 – 17 year-olds
